Sausage Potato Soup

Simple and delicious potato soup prepared from condensed cream of mushroom soup, water, milk, instant potatoes, diced potatoes, finely chopped onion, ground sausage, celery salt, seasoned salt, parsley flakes, and fresh ground black pepper.

Ingredients -

2 (10.75 ounces each) cans Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 cups Cold Water
4 cups Whole Milk
2 cups instant Potatoes
4 medium Potatoes (diced) 5 potatoes for a hardy mix
1 medium White or Yellow Onion, finely chopped
1/2 pound Ground Sausage (browned)
1/2 teaspoon Celery Salt
1/2 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
1 tablespoon Parsley Flakes
Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste

 
Preparation:

1. In 5 quart or larger saucepan, add mushroom soup, water and milk.

2. Turn on low to medium heat and keep stirring to keep from scorching.

3. Add instant potatoes and stir well.

4. You can add more instant potatoes if you want it thicker.

5. Add potatoes, onion, sausage or turkey and seasonings.

6. Continue cooking until potatoes are done. Seasonings can be adjusted to taste.

7. Makes approximately 4 quarts.

Ground Sausage

Ground sausage comes in a number of varieties and flavors. Some are mild, while others are spicy. Any ground meat could be a substitute for the sausage if unavailable or the desire for a different taste or calorie make-up is present.
